There is potentially an additional change for Adopt Charleston Cats and because of this we have added our logo, purchased our own domain name, and modified the website. Please be sure to check out the various pages using the drop down navigation bar in the header of our web pages. If you click on the shelters' names you will find additional information and photos. We will continue to share "featured" cats and/or kittens available for adoption on their own page under each of their shelter's name.
This past week we have seen a number of our featured or photographed cats being adopted from both Charleston Animal Society and Pet Helpers. Congratulations to all the animals who found their families, but special mention to Patches, Townes, and Sunkist - all formerly featured cats on the website.
With our featured cats moving from featured to "recently adopted" on the navigation bar, we have added new feline features for your consideration. Please do not hesitate to check out CAS's Ernie Mae, Harrison, or Indigo. At Pet Helpers a number of cats are looking for their pet parents, but we continue to highlight long-time resident, Bearby Jean, along with Havarti, Seth, and Ubie.
On the home front of Adopt Charleston Cats, our time of "kitty sitting" came to an end last week when former CAS foster kitten, "Julia Child", went back home. She provided us much entertainment and love. She's a very photogenic cat, too, and she now appears at the top of our blog page showing off her golden eyes. We will look forward to our next request to kitty sit and hope it won't be too long of a wait.
Charleston Animal Society foster cat, Indigo, remains in our care and she is now a 'featured' feline on this site. She has made progress in her behavior, but we still believe she will be happiest as either a barn cat or in a home with only adults who understand a cat's body language. She still exhibits some issues around men, but with lots of TLC it is believed she can learn to love men again. Being able to pet her for minutes at a time, give chin rubs and head scratches is becoming a daily experience. The best thing (for me) is she's a great sleeping buddy and will sleep all night next to me with morning requests for petting becoming more common.
Until next time, we hope that all the furbabies in your life help keep you happy and warm. Keep on purring, pets of the world.
