She was improving nicely until Wednesday evening when it appeared she was getting a little more congested. Because of this symptom I increased her time in the steam and kept close watch over her. On Thursday she played, but spent so much of the day sleeping. In the afternoon, it was evident she was in need of further evaluation based on her physical signs. She returned to Pet Helpers to see the vet again on Friday and was put on the stronger antibiotic. It's still a bit up and down, but she is amazingly playful. To watch her play, you would never know this little one is sick. We will continue all the treatments this week, including steam sessions through the night to ensure she has every available chance to heal. Thankfully, she enjoys the taste of her new cherry-flavored antibiotic and doesn't fuss to take it like she did with the last antibiotic.
One thing that having the URI hasn't affected is Tori's appetite. She eats until her little belly is buldging, and is now over two pounds both on ourhome scale as well at Pet Helpers. She's doing everything in her power to kick this and grow into a beautiful cat one day.
This week we ask that you say a little prayer for her healing and send her wishes of getting well soon. Tori will appreciate anything good thoughts you can give. Thanking you in advance.
