Foster Home: Adopt Charleston Cats, The Dew Family

One of Charleston Animal Society's foster queens is in foster with us, and I am pleased to introduce you to Dove!
Dove is estimated to have been born in June 2016. She was brought to Charleston Animal Society (CAS) with her 7-10 day old kittens and came into foster care on July 1, 2018. The kittens are all in foster with her and doing well, but they are not yet ready for adoption (stay tuned to this website). Dove is a small girl (about 7 pounds) and currently a bit thin since giving birth and raising her eight (yes, EIGHT!) kittens. She is a hearty eater, but all her calories have been going toward producing nutrition for her "octuplets".
Dove has been very focused on her motherhood duties, but in the past week she has been showing her own personality more and more as the kittens are growing and not rely so heavily on her. She now enjoys taking longer breaks from the kittens and will come and spend time at night on the bed with me. Dove is playful and enjoys playing with cat wands, balls, and has enjoyed the catnip kicker stick. She likes to have periodic chats and loves to "chortle" to her humans and her kittens. She has meet "visiting" kittens while in foster care, and has been very tolerant and accepting of them. I believe she would likely get along well with any exisiting pet cat in the home (we have not seen her with dogs). This gal is going to be a great pet ~ she is healthy (negative for FeLV/FIV), litter pan trained, enjoys human attention, and will purr easily.
She was spayed at CAS on August 7, 2018. The following day she was transferred to one of Charleston Animal Society's Business Partners, Pounce Cat Cafe, where she is available for adoption.
