Dove's Kittens - ALL HAVE BEEN ADOPTED
Brought to you by the
Charleston Animal Society
Foster Home: Adopt Charleston Cats ~ The Dew Family
UPDATE: August 31, 2018 - All eight kittens were returned to Charleston Animal Society this morning for spay/neuter. As of August 30 all kittens have adoptive homes waiting for their surgeries to be completed before the adoptions are finalized and they move to their furever homes.
On July 1, 2018, Adopt Charleston Cats brought home a nursing queen, Dove, and her eight kittens from the Charleston Animal Society. The kittens were about 7-10 days old and Mother Dove had a lot of work ahead. Dove did an excellent job of mothering her litter, and after six weeks she was spayed and moved to Pounce Cat Cafe where she was very quickly adopted. Meanwhile, her kittens remained in foster care while they gained the required weight for spay and neuter surgeries.
These kittens are very social with humans, playful, and enjoy their litter mates. At seven weeks of age, they began sleeping with their foster mom and love to curl up beside the pillow or next to a shoulder and purr while their human fell asleep. They have also enjoyed limited time with other kittens who have stayed in the foster home on/off during July and August. They have not lived with dogs. If you are a household with an existing cat who may want a playmate, these kittens may be the addition you're looking for. It is written with confidence that with proper introduction, any of these kittens should blend nicely into an existing cat household.
The kittens pictured below will be spayed/neutered at Charleston Animal Society on Friday, August 31. They will be available for adoption on Saturday, September 1. Meanwhile, these social bundles of playful fun are available for Meet & Greet and can be placed "on hold" while still in their foster home this last week of August.
